work spans commercials, film and video. Now, Mark is
focused like a laser beam on bringing his latest work, SWAT, to the
screen.
As a commercial director he's
brought over 50 commercials to the small screen including his
eye-catching United Airlines spot. Commercials were fun and provided
him a solid grounding at telling a story in 60 seconds. He's also
produced, written and directed 30 corporate training videos, local
cable shows and special interest video projects.
After spending an unprecedented two
months shadowing LAPD detectives on 45 murder scenes, he wrote the
screenplay South Bureau Homicide. Mark later adapted it into the award
winning 35mm short film which was an audience favorite on the festival
circuit. Mark's latest screenplay, SWAT, took several years to write
and included over 1,000 hours of research and interviews.
Mark attended classes at the
American Film Institute and industry seminars, including Bob McKee's
Story Structure, David Freeman's Beyond Structure and Pitching
Workshop, Lillian Chauvin Director's Workshop and Flash Forward
Institute. He's a member of Women in Film and Independent Feature

Mark's father is a film, television
and stage actor in New York and his mother worked in production for

business by shadowing his mother around the Paramount, Warner Bros,
Universal and CBS stages. At age twelve he wrote a script for the CBS
sitcom He & She (Richard Benjamin, Paula Prentiss, Jack Cassidy)
and they bought it!
He graduated from Rio Hondo College
where he directed multi-camera shows and live events. Mark then earned
his Bachelor of Arts in Business degree from the University of Redlands.
Mark is a pilot with nearly 1,000
hours of flight time, plays golf and baseball, and loves music.
